Connectors

Excel defines three types of connectors: Straight, Elbow, and Curve.

You can choose the connector type before creating a diagram. To do this, go to the "Flowchart" ribbon tab, and from the "Connect Type" list, choose the connector type you want. "Auto" means if two blocks are on the same axis, then it uses a straight connector; otherwise, it uses a curve connector.

Decision Labels

Decision labels are annotations added to connectors. They are usually added to connectors originating from a decision block to explain different decision paths.

The app allows you to add the labels to other connectors too, but this is not a common practice.
