Detail
This free printable Excel sheet offers a receipt template and invoice template for pet boarding and grooming, for businesses like cattery and dog daycare etc. It is able to show pet photo / image when the pet name is filled in.
For generic pet sitting service receipt, visit c5135 Pet Sitting Invoice Sample. The template c5135 was released on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at that time our Invoice Manager still didn't support showing image dynamically. Starting from version 7.11, a new Excel formula was introduced by Invoice Manager, which was "DisplayImage".
As explained at c4126 Image and Picture on Invoice, Quote and Purchase Order, the "DisplayImage" formula requires two argument -- the file name of the image, and the target range address where you want to show the image. The image file is loaded from Windows file system, but not the backend database system. This design makes it easy for you to store and organize photos and images.
The sample template shows the pet photo next to the "Bill To" section. The formula looks like this:
=DisplayImage(CONCATENATE($A$20,"\dogs\",oknWhoID,"-",I21,".jpg"),K10)
The $A$20 cell calculates full folder path of the current invoice. The "CONCATENATE" formula combines this path, the subfolder name "\dogs\", the customer ID, a hyphen, the I21 cell (which is the pet name, and the file extension ".jpg", to construct the full path name of the photo image file. So for example, if the receipt template is stored in the "c:\MyInvoices" folder, the customer ID is "c1001", and the dog name is "Apple", then the image that will be shown is "c:\MyInvoices\dogs\c1001-apple.jpg. See the screenshot to find out how it looks when the pet photo is displayed.
The pet image is printable, which means it is included when the receipt is printed, or when you generate PDF receipt by using our invoicing program. Click here for more samples.
You can use the Excel template for free. However our invoicing program (i.e. "Invoice Manager for Excel") is not a freeware. The invoicing program is an Excel COM add-in program that runs inside Excel, connects the front-end Excel sheet with backend database (could be Access or SQL Server). It offers advanced features like automatic numbering, reporting etc. Feel free to download and try the fully functional trial version to find out how it is easy to create receipts with the help from our program.
The downloadable template includes 3 dog photos. Once you installed the IMFE edition of the downloadable package, try to enter one of the names "apple", "orange" or "banana" to see how the photo changes according to the pet name.
