Whether you are one of those well-known lawn care companies, or just started your landscaping or yard maintenance / tree-removal service, you need to issue bills to get paid fast. This lawn care invoice / receipt template helps you to get this job done.
You can download this MS Excel formatted billing format template free of cost, like all the other templates here on InvoicingTemplate.com. The template is saved as an "xlsx" file and thus can be used with Microsoft Excel 2007 and all the higher versions. We've also converted this form to Adobe PDF format using Excel. We recommend you to use the Excel version because this fillable / editable template is easier to work with.
The template has space for you to put your own logo image on the top-left corner. Next to that is your lawn care business name, address, contact number, email and web address. On the top-right-corner, you'll see the invoice date, invoice # and customer (client) # fields. If you have Invoice Manager for Excel installed, to create a new invoice you simply click the "Clear & New" button on the task pane or on the top of the form. The "Clear & New" command clears the form, fills in some default values like invoice date, payment term, sales rep. name, default tax names and rates. The invoice# (Invoice ID) field is filled automatically if left blank when you click "Save Invoice" (or "Save To DB").
With Invoice Manager for Excel installed, the simple pure-Excel format lawn care bill format becomes a powerful lawn care invoicing program. For example, you don't have maintain the invoice# serial numbers manually. Invoice Manager for Excel is able to generates new invoice#' automatically based on the previously used number. By installing the invoicing app / program, the template is no longer an invoice maker, it is also able to manage customer accounts, invoices and payments. For example, by simply clicking the "Customers" button, you get a list of all the customers along with the amount payable and credit amount of each customer. Want to find information for a particular customer, but you only remember part of its name or address? No problem, by using the "Search Bar", you can search against any field of the customer, like name, address, city state zip, phone number, account balance, email address, and also any custom fields (user-defined fields) you add to the "Customer" database table.
This template includes 4 columns - Description, Quantity, Rate and Amount. With the "Description" column you itemize what are being invoiced, such as lawn mowing, edging, weed control, pruning / trimming, fertilizing, spring / fall clean-up, planting beds, tree trimming, etc. As we all know, an invoice is essentially an itemized statement of money owed for goods shipped or services rendered. It is a common recognition that a detailed invoice reduces the possibility of doubt regarding your charges, and thus reduce the possible delay of payments.
The amount column was calculated by using Excel formulas. This is one of the big advantages of using MS Excel as your invoicing creator. Tools like Microsoft Word or even Adobe PDF and Photoshop is able to render a beautiful billing form too, but it is easier to do calculations with Excel.
On the bottom of the layout there are "Paid" and "Total Due" fields. If you need lawn care job estimate format, you may like to remove these fields. Visit this tutorial on simple invoice template here on InvoicingTemplate.com to find out how to move fields out of the printable form.
