Do you like New York, the state in the northeastern United States? You can even add it to your invoices and bills! This free downloadable invoicing template for Microsoft Excel (".xlsx" format) provides a sample on how to add a watermark of New York.
The added image of the New York City is inserted into the form header section so that it is not visible when you are creating invoice - i.e. editing the Excel form. The New York watermark is visible on the printed version (see the screenshots below), as well as on the PDF invoice generated with Invoice Manager for Excel, which you can send to your customer electronically with email (see invoice template to email for more samples on this topic).
As detailed in the "Create Invoice Template" document, all shapes including images must have its name prefixed "oknWidget" in order to be retained on the extracted version (which is still an Excel workbook file, but contains only the invoice sheet), and the PDF invoice created with UIS. This sample follow that guidelines, so that the widgets, such as the boxes for the "BILL TO" and "SHIP TO" sections, are kept on the result invoices. On the other hand, buttons like "Save As New Customer", "View Customer Info." and "Same As Bill To" are all removed from the PDF invoices.
The "Paid" and "Balance Due" cells, which are put inside the printable form in the default template shipped with Invoice Manager for Excel, were now moved out of the "Print_Area" section. This simplifies the form layout. If you need to keep these fields on the printed bills or the PDF version, move them back by following the instructions detailed in the "Create Invoice Template" document.
Since an invoice is a business document, all text must be clearly readable. For this reason, we make the New York image, which has the Statue of Liberty and city buildings on it, to be 20 opacity.
