Service Invoice with Profit Calculation is a variant of Sales Invoice Template with Profit Calculation. The printing result is exactly same as the service invoice template here on InvoicingTemplate.com, but it has the ability to calculate profit based on the cost you enter.
This variant format is created based on the Sales Invoice Template with Profit Calculation, by moving the entire shipping address section out of the print area.
There are other variants and designs here on InvoicingTemplate.com too. For example, Sales Invoice Template with Profit and Taxable Column offers a similar invoicing form as Sales Invoice Template with Profit Calculation, but added a "Taxable" column on the printable area. And Service Invoice Template with Profit and Taxable Column offers a similar invoicing form as Service Invoice Template with Profit Calculation but with a "Taxable" column on the printable invoice design. As the name implies, the "Taxable" column is a checkbox column, which is placed outside the printable area on most invoice designs here on InvoicingTemplate.com. Note that the "Taxable" column is placed inside the printable area, along with the other standard columns, such as price and description etc., while the "Cost" and "Profit" columns are designed in a way that will not show these to your customers / clients. The "Taxable" and "Cost" are standard fields that are included in the default database and template shipped with Invoice Manager for Excel program, but the "Profit" is a custom field in this implementation. Please look into the documents of Invoice Manager for Excel, which can be opened by clicking the Help button on the Invoice Manager for Excel version of this template, for a detailed description on custom fields. Custom fields are supported in all editions of Invoice Manager for Excel, including Invoice Manager for Excel Standard, Invoice Manager for Excel Net, Invoice Manager for Excel Enterprise. Unlike the freeware edition of this Service Invoice with Profit Calculation, the Invoice Manager for Excel offers more powerful features, such management of customers, products / inventory, invoices and payments. The generated invoices can be printed, or send as electronic invoices in PDF or Excel format. With the help of Excel and custom fields, you can even easily modify the default invoicing form to create forms for other purpose, such as estimate / quote / receipt.
You don't have to be a technician in order to do general customizations to an Excel template. With Microsoft Excel, you can easily modify the layout and format of the template, such as moving cells and controls, change font and color, etc. However if you want to database level customizations such as using custom fields, it is helpful to learn the basic concepts about database and Excel. The newly added database fields could be mapped to cells on the Invoice spreadsheet. Note that we say "could be mapped" but not "must be mapped" here. This simply means that, whether to create Excel cell definitions for database fields is optional, depending on your business requirements. Invoice Manager for Excel does not require you to define a cell or column for each field defined in your database - and if you need, map an Excel cell to a database field could be easily done by using cell names.
