As a freelancer you know it's important to get paid without delay and a professional invoice could be helpful. Being professional means your bill contains all the required information that are formatted properly.
Whenever you have completed a service and are ready to be paid, you must always submit an invoice to your client. Occasionally, clients will not follow up with an invoice request, so it's your job to keep track of the payments due to you. The important part is to keep track of the invoices you submit (using an invoice processing system helps with this a great deal), and follow up on a regular basis with a polite email or phone call asking for a status update on your payment. With Invoice Manager for Excel installed, you can find all pending (not paid) invoices with a single click of mouse - i.e. clicking the "Invoices" button on the ribbon tab. You can sort the invoice list by any column - simply double clicking the column heading, or search for an existing invoice by a criterion applied to almost any fields available on the invoicing form.

The template has no tax set by default (the tax cells are hidden and not printable). With Invoice Manager for Excel installed, you can easily change it to one tax or two taxes, depending on your particular needs. Simply click the Settings button on the ribbon tab, and then go to the Taxes tab, choose your tax type (no tax, one tax, two taxes), enter the tax name such as VAT, and the rate, click Apply and you are done! By installing Invoice Manager for Excel, you can easily to do basic customizations, such as switch to design mode, replace logo image etc. The template is formatted in a way that does not display currency symbol. You can easily set the cell display format so that it shows, for example UK or US currency symbol. To do this, first open Professional Freelance Bill (Professional Freelance Billing Format) as usual. Switch to design mode (make sure Invoice Manager for Excel is installed). Right-click the cell for which you want to change the currency symbol, and then choose Format Cells. On the Number tab set the format you like.
